QR code generator free and unlimited

Turn a link, a Wi‑Fi network or any text into a QR code in seconds. It works forever, and nothing leaves your device.

What should the QR code contain?

For an Excel, Word or PDF file: upload it to Google Drive or OneDrive, copy the share link, then paste it here.

Dot shape
Margin

Stronger correction keeps the code readable if it gets damaged or dirty, but makes it denser.

How to create a QR code

Three steps, no account and nothing to install.

  1. Choose the content

A link to a page or a shared file, some text, your Wi‑Fi, an email address, a text message or a phone number.

  2. Customize it

Change the colors, the shape of the dots and the margin. The preview updates live.

  3. Download it

As PNG for screens and documents, or as SVG for crisp printing at any size.

An honest QR code generator

It never expires

The content is written directly into the QR code pattern. No subscription can switch it off, even ten years from now.

Your data stays with you

The QR code is generated by your browser. Your links and Wi‑Fi passwords are never uploaded.

Your colors

Dot and background colors, transparent background, and square, rounded or circular dots.

Ready to print

SVG stays perfectly sharp, from a business card to a poster.

Frequently asked questions

Will my QR code expire?

No. Fichora creates “static” QR codes: the link or text is written directly into the pattern. There is no server in between, so nothing can switch it off. It keeps working as long as the page or file it points to exists.

How do I make a QR code for an Excel, Word or PDF file?

A QR code holds a link, not the file itself. Upload your file to Google Drive or OneDrive, turn on link sharing (“Anyone with the link”), copy that link and paste it under “Link”. If you edit the file later, the link stays the same, so the QR code always shows the latest version.

Can I change where it points after printing?

Not with a static QR code: to change the destination you need a new code. Tip: point the QR code to a page or document you can edit yourself (a Drive file, a page on your own site). You can then change the content without reprinting.

Is it really free? Any limit or watermark?

It is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many codes you make. You can use your QR codes anywhere, including for business.

PNG or SVG: which format should I choose?

PNG is a regular image, great for a Word document, a presentation or a message. SVG is a vector format that stays sharp at any size: choose it for printing (posters, flyers, packaging) or when a print shop asks for it.

My QR code will not scan. What can I do?

Keep dark dots on a light background with good contrast, leave the margin on “Normal” and print the code large enough (at least 2 × 2 cm, about 0.8 in). If the content is long, shorten the link. For a code printed on a surface that wears out, choose a higher error correction. Always test with a phone before printing.
